MissionServicesAbout Dr. WandMeet the StaffAppointmentsQuestions and Answers

Can patients schedule special appointments during evenings or on weekends?
Currently, our appointment times are Monday through Friday; however, if you have special circumstances or needs, please call our office and leave a message for Dr. Wand to call you back to discuss them.

How do I schedule a telephone consultation?
Scheduled just like an appointment, telephone consultations are reserved for established patients. To set one up, simply call and state that you’d like a telephone consult. Specify the amount of time you think you’ll need and leave the number where you can be reached at that time. You’ll be asked for payment information. You can either provide a credit card number or send a check at the time you book your consult.

How do you handle lab tests?
For the best service and greatest flexibility, Midwest Wellness Center offers several different testing facilities and options. During your visit, we’ll decide together, which is the most appropriate and provide complete instructions so you understand where to go and what to do. In most cases, we use the lab services at Methodist Hospital, Park Nicollet Medical Center, and Northwestern Health Services University. We also have lab kits available for some tests so that you may collect certain samples at home and have them picked up and delivered to the lab.

Please explain what a "self-filing system for insurance reimbursement" means.
A "self-filing system for insurance reimbursement" allows us to offer services at moderate rates. We pass the savings we experience from not filing insurance claims onto you. Quite simply, this system of billing requires that you pay at the time of your visit. We provide you with a receipt detailing all the necessary information you will need when filling out the claim form from your insurance company. If you do not have claim forms, call your insurance company and request they send you a small supply. Because of the wide variety of insurance companies and their different contracts, you should check with your insurance provider to determine if they will cover the services.

Do you offer a senior discount for patients on Medicare?
Yes. Medicare will not reimburse you for charges incurred at our clinic. Therefore, we offer a senior discount for patients age 65 and older. If you are receiving Medicare benefits, please inform the receptionist when you make your appointment.

What if I prefer to use my primary physician’s lab services?
We are more than happy to work with your primary physician. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible healthcare program to meet YOUR needs, and we always try to accommodate special concerns or requests whenever possible.

I’m interested in some other alternative therapies that I’ve heard about. Will you help me determine which may be best for me?
Most definitely! Dr. Wand is well versed in many different types of alternative therapies and continues to expand his knowledge. Dr. Wand integrates research from established medical journals and medical conferences with the wisdom shared by many of his patients into his practice. After taking a comprehensive health history, Dr. Wand will answer your questions and work with you to tailor a plan best suited to your needs. Together, you can explore the alternative therapies of interest and decide which, if any, are appropriate.

I’m concerned about my privacy. Are my records kept confidential?
